Are You Making These Blogging Mistakes?Writing by Nick on Saturday, 14 of July , 2007 at 10:12 am

I wasn’t going to write on blogging this morning (have you noticed that I’ve been harping on that a lot lately?). But I found this excellent article on mistakes that new bloggers make. I thought you all might benefit. Written by Rose DesRochers for SiteProNews. Here’s what Rose says are the top 10 blogging mistakes that new bloggers make:

Two weeks ago, I spent 90 minutes on the phone (a lifetime for me) with Epiar’s Ken Jurina and Curtis Dueck (they’re in a video with WebProNews here). They walked me through their propietary and incredibly advanced, internal SEO software, explaining how they’re able to provide an exceptional quality of results for their clients. I like to think that SEOmoz gives its clients excellent service, and from a strategic and consulting perspective, I believe that’s true, but Ken’s team at Epiar has set the bar so high, I’ve never seen its equal in any of the many companies I’ve worked with.

MSN Live Search Is Making Itself CompetitiveWriting by Nick Stamoulis on Saturday, 17 of November , 2007 at 1:42 am

MSN Live Search is making improvements again. I’d like to say that this latest improvement is way overdue and I’m quite glad to see it happening:

(Source) This week we’re excited to announce that the Live Search Webmaster Center has moved out of its closed beta and we are now open for a public beta. In conjunction with this release we want to announce the creation of the Live Search Webmaster Center blog.

I DO NOT THINK SO

I start blogging just recently and I will not say that is over. Just because somebody started blog 2 years ago and makes 5 figures that does not mean that it will take you or me 2 years or even 10 years.

It could take us a month 1 month ! , if you hit the G-spot what i call niche. And if you are an expert in it , imagine for example you are food expert you could write recipes or write about food .

Could be that you are somebody that likes Google YahoO! MSN and other search engines but yet you don’t call your self SEO expert like some do (there is no such thing) then you can still make money by telling people what you found out today and , yes there could be same stories out there but hey those stories could be 3 years old , and many things have changed !

Back to basics time this Friday, and this time, it’s all about the only meta tag that still has relevance; the meta description tag. Meta descriptions have three primary uses:

To describe the content of the page accurately and succinctly To serve as a short, text “advertisement” to click on your results in the search results To display targeted keywords, not for ranking purposes, but to indicate the content to searchers

Notes On Making The Most Of iGoogleWriting by Nick Stamoulis on Sunday, 26 of August , 2007 at 8:48 am

Google’s personalization feature, iGoogle, is now a few months old. Old enough that you should be able to judge whether or not you are getting decent recommendations based on your search history. But if you search the way I do then you’re all over the map.

I’ve been known to do well over 300 searches in one month. That’s about 10 per day. If you are a full-time writer and spend your entire day doing research every day then you could feasibly be making 50-60 searches each day, or more. And all on different topics! Will you get very good results from iGoogle based on that?
